The latest album penned by Alan Millen and set to music by Tim and Bill Buckingham is for the wee ones and is entitled Rockaroladoo – by the Tutti-Frutti Funhouse Band. The album will be released within the next few weeks. Meanwhile there’s a video for the song Out on the Frozen Pond. This track celebrates Alan’s favourite winter outdoor activity. He says, “I scored most of my best fantasy goals on the frozen ponds of Fort St. John, BC, back in the early 1960s. This song celebrates the exhilaration of speeding across a frozen pond, playing ice hockey on a pair of new skates.”

Follow the links below to locate the gold at the end of the virtual musical rainbow.
The album was recently featured on ‘The Lunchtime Selection’, hosted by Ian Oliphanton 95fm in Glasgow, Scotland, via the Celtic Music Radio network. It has been receiving constant airplay since its release especially from the FOLK-DJ network.
Baltimore’s Andy Cooke and Tim have now written 11 songs for their Sci-Fi Prog Rock project ‘Cuckoo Gene’. Recording is at the demo stage at present and there’s no date set for release at this point – except to say that, like the whole album, it will be in the future (hopefully the near and not the very far!).
When The War Is Over
In recognition of the 100th anniversary of the end of World War One, Tim recently recorded the song When The War Is Over, co-written with Alan Millen. It conveys an imagined conversation between two soldiers midway through what was originally known as The Great War. They wonder aloud to each other what life might be like when the conflict is over, assuming that they survive.
Another song by Tim and Alan also commemorating the 100th anniversary of Armistice Day, which brought what was once known as The Great War to an end, is a song which harkens back to the early days of the conflict. Across the UK groups of men enlisted together and formed what were known as the “pals’ battalions”. The same spirit engulfed football teams across the land, Newcastle United amongst them. The Exiles have created this song in their memory. We gratefully acknowledge the approval from NUFC to use photos from the club website in the video which you can see here.
